We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team in Westmont, IL.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving products; maintaining inventory by labeling and placing items into stock.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and cycle counting.
- Verify correctness of items received by checking identifying information; inspecting condition and comparing counts/specifications of items to the purchase order and/or packing list.
- Responsible for adjustments to inventory.
- Generate different reports using the ERP inventory control system to help management analyze usage changes/trends with both new and existing distributors.
- Work within the guidelines of the Quality Policy, Quality Directives, ISO 13485 Standard and applicable Regulatory Requirements (i.e. FDA 21 CFR PART 820).
- Ensure full inspection of returned products and log-in accurately back-to-stock items.
- Correctly utilize the bar code system for producing product labels.
- Investigate all inventory discrepancies and report to management.
- Responsible for shipping products; process incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare import and export documentation for both US and International shipments.
- Ability and willingness to work over-time (after 5:00p.m.) as dictated by business needs.
- Other inventory control duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience using inventory control systems preferably in a Medical Devices setting.
- Must have excellent computer skills (including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have strong analytical abilities and attention to detail to recognize errors and inconsistencies.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management.
